When you subscribe from inside an app, the payment usually goes through your phone’s app store account rather than the service itself. That changes where the subscription lives: it is managed in your device or store account settings, not on the service website.
Open the subscription section of your app store account and write down everything listed as active. This one screen often reveals small charges for photo editors, fitness trackers, or utilities that never appear under their own name on your card statement.
On your card statement these charges typically show the app store as the merchant, sometimes grouped together. Add each one to your list under the real service name so you can see what you are actually paying for.
Deleting an app does not cancel its subscription. The charge continues until you turn off renewal in the store settings, which is why unused utilities are one of the most common forgotten charges.
To cancel, use the store’s subscription page and follow the steps to turn off renewal. Access usually continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Save the confirmation that the subscription will not renew.
If the same service is also available through its website, compare the prices. Some services charge a different amount through the app store than through their own site, so it can be worth checking before you renew.
Family sharing and shared purchases can make one person’s subscription appear on another person’s device. Check which account is the organizer and who actually pays, and note that owner in your list.
Review the store subscription page once a month alongside your card statement. It takes a minute, and it is the only place that shows every in-app subscription in one list.
